ATA Black Belt Academy

We have been serving the Northwest area since 1992. All classes are taught and supervised by nationally certified instructors that are required to complete an intensive two-year trainee internship. This martial arts center is a member of the American Taekwondo Association, one of the world's largest martial arts organizations.

We offer what we believe is the best martial arts in the world. Taekwondo is an exciting and powerful martial art known for its dynamic kicking and hand techniques. We also offer exciting instruction in women's self defense (SHARP) and pressure points (PPCT): self defense systems that can be mastered by any person of any size. Other specialized courses at our centers include weapons training (single / double stick, long stick, and the nunchaku), spontaneous knife defense, and a self-defense course utilizing joint manipulation, grappling and throwing techniques.

Our martial art is based on tradition but is always evolving to keep pace with the fast changing world. All of our staff members are enrolled in a continuing education program covering the latest educational, motivational and training concepts available in our industry. Our Chief Instructor is Robert Goins, 5th degree Black Belt with nearly 15 years of martial arts experience in the American Taekwondo Association.
